AIRPORT & ACCESSORIES UNIT
AU-6

Bachmann would add three additional jets and one automobile to this unit that is otherwise unchanged from the previous year.

In the 1955 catalog Bachmann would list this unit as "AU-6 PLASTICVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT." However, there is no evidence that the AU-6 was produced with any name other than "AIRPORT & ACCESSORIES UNIT." It would not be until 1956 that the description would read "INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT," and then it would be produced under the new four digit numbering system as "5600."

DAIRY FARM UNIT
RU-4

This year, Bachmann changed the name and the box art of the RU-4 to "Dairy Farm," but the only change to the contents from the previously issued RU-4 was the addition of one automobile.

That is what the catalog lists and also what is listed among the contents on the box cover. However, the picture in the catalog for this unit and also on the box shows two billboards. It is unknown if this unit contained these billboards and reader comments are solicited. For now, we have included the billboards among the contents below.

HOMES FOR TOWN AND COUNTRY UNIT
HU-5

Aside from the larger Master Units, this would be the first Master Unit that contained people.

In the 1955 catalog, and on the cover artwork of this unit, the people are shown in different colors. This unit is NOT KNOWN to have come with these colored people. These different colored people would only be available in 1955 and by the following year all plasticville citizens would be in the common FLESH color. WE BELIEVE THAT THIS UNIT CAME WITH EITHER MULTI-COLORED OR FLESH COLORED PEOPLE. Viewer remarks concerning this unit are solicited.
