Bachmann would issue this unit one year after it had issued the BA-7 and it would have an almost completely different list of components.

CHURCH & HOUSE UNIT
CH-9


In 1954, for the CH-9, Bachmann would replace the RH-1 Ranch House with the MH-2 New England Ranch House. The ST-5 Spruce Trees were added, and the HF-2 Fence sections would remain the same as the CH-8. All of the other components of the CH-8 would be eliminated.

This would be the only Master Unit that Bachmann issued that contained the individually issued boxes of the components. Evidently they were not satisfied with the results, and this method of packaging would not be repeated.

For the second year Bachmann would offer a Master Unit that was called a "Master Unit" in the catalog. Bachmann also named it "A City in a Box" and this unit had ten more pieces than the previously issued MU-1 - consisting of 118 pieces.

For this version of the Railroad Accessories Unit Bachmann would replace the LP-9 Lamp Posts with SL-1 Boulevard Lights, there would be only one WG-2 Crossing Gate, and all of the trees of the RA-6 would no longer be in this unit. New inclusions included a PB-5 Footbridge, and a Flagpole.

In 1954, Bachmann would have one of each of their houses in this unit. The MH-2 New England Ranch House and the LH-4 Two-Story Colonial House were new this year.

The RU-4 would have a MH-2 New England Ranch House instead of the HP-9 Cape Cod House that was in the RU-3 that was available the previous year. Other changes included the omission of the Log Cabin, but all 18 of the BY-4 Barnyard Animals would be included in this master unit. In addition, the WW-3 Wishing Well would replace the Maple Trees, but there would be two more ST-5 Spruce Trees included.

For 1954, Bachmann would add one additional billboard, two additional telephone poles, the LP-9 Lamps would be replaced with the SL-1 Boulevard Lights, a Flag Pole replaced the PB-5 Foot Bridge, and there would be one less WG-2 Crossing Gate than were included in the previously issued TA-1.
