First constructed in the "Plastic Village" during 1954, this house has 13 color combinations and five box variations (not counting the current release). We’ve indicated the color variations below with the hardest to obtain listed first. The most difficult variation is the PCA 5th Anniversary Commemorative Issue of which only 348 units were manufactured. This house is illustrated to the right.
The rarest of the boxes is the No. 1807 which was sold between 1966 and 1977, and the bagged version No. 5700 released in 1963.
There are many small and fragile parts in this kit and we’ve indicated these below, along with the porch and the porch roof problem. These factors all contribute to making this house one of the hardest to find in undamaged condition.

Additional Two Story Colonial House Color Variation
An additional possible color variation has recently been found. This is pictured below and is believed to have been issued in the No. 45936 box.
Confirmation of this is needed. If you have one of these kits with these colors still in the original sealed bag as issued by Bachmann we would like to hear from you. Please use the email link at the bottom of this page to get in touch with us.

Porch Roof and Base These are two of the parts on this structure that are always broken. Note the locations of the missing pins that hold them to the side wall where the arrows are pointing. Only one of these pins are present. These are also the colors of the first issue of this Plasticville structure. Reproductions are not made of these parts.
Porch Roof Support Two of these parts are used to support the porch roof. They should always be the same color as the walls of the house. They are often found missing or glued to the porch base and roof. Reproductions are made in several colors.
TV Antenna This television antenna mounted on the chimney cap. It is often missing from these kits. Reproductions are made of this part in RED, TAN and WHITE. This part should always be the same color as the walls of the house.
Rooster Weather Vane This part mounts on top of the copula roof that sits on top of the garage roof. Often it is found to have "flown of coop." Replacement parts are available in RED, TAN and WHITE. This part should always be the same color as the walls of the house.
Chimney Half This part is mated with the porch side wall and is held in place by the chimney cap. Often found missing from this kit, it has been reproduced in RED, TAN and WHITE. The chimney half should always be the same color as the walls of the house.
