The Lionel Highway Set No. 955 was only available in 1958. The 1958 Lionel catalog showed 27 pieces of Plasticville, but stated that there were only 22 pieces.

This set consisted of the following Plasticville items:

1. No. V10 Vehicle Assortment combination of 2 GRAY or DARK BLUE buses and 1 car

2. No. SS-5 Street Name Sign 7 signs

3. No. 1000 Telephone Poles 7 telephone poles

4. No. 12-A Street Signs 10 signs

No instruction sheet was included with this set that was housed in an Type I box.

There are two variations:

Variation A: Came in a Type I box that is shown below.

Variation B: Came in a cardboard box with a lift top lid and the number "955" that is rubber-stamped on one end. This box is believed to have originated with Madison Hardware and the box side is shown to the right.
