The Lionel Lines No. 6045 A Variation

The Lionel 2 Dome Tank CarsThe Lionel Lines 2-Dome No. 6045 was issued in uncataloged sets between 1959 and 1964. The body was held to the Type 9 frame with tabs and the lettering was rubber-stamped on the sides. It came with arch-bar trucks that have solid non-operating couplers. There are three variations:

Variation A: GRAY tank with BLUE lettering and a built date of "1-58.".

Variation B: TAN tank with BLUE lettering and a built date of "1-58."

Variation C: ORANGE tank with BLACK end caps and lettering. This car is the same as the B Variation of the Lionel Lines No. 6465 save that the trucks and the couplers are different.
