In the past many Plasticville buildings were illuminated by strings of the old time Christmas lights in a display, usually underneath a Christmas tree. These lights were notable because of the heat that they generated. The result was that many Plasticville structure’s walls and roofs were melted by these lights. NEVER use these old Christmas lights to light up Plasticville structures. The result of the damage that these can cause is illustrated to the right.

Bachmann manufactures a light that is perfect for lighting your Plasticville structures. This light is illustrated to the left. Just wire it into your accessory circuit. It works on 0-20 volts AC or DC. For dimmer lights you can wire two of these lights in series.

For best results, these lights can be mounted on a 2 inch square piece of 1/2 inch plywood. This size allows you to light up the SW-2 Plasticville Switch Tower that has one of the smallest interior areas. This light can be glued to the plywood with super glue or two-part epoxy, or you can use brads and nail it to the plywood.
