The Lionel Lines Cattle Car No. 6656 was produced between 1950 and 1953. This 9-1/4 inch car usually had a BRIGHT YELLOW painted body that had BLACK lettering that was applied with a heat-stamp. Early issues would have steps at the four corners of the chassis and came with staple-end trucks. Later issues have bar-end trucks. Both types of trucks have magnetic couplers. There are three variations:
Variation A: "Armour" emblems installed at the top of the doors. BRIGHT YELLOW body that has steps at the corners. This is the earliest production of this car.
Variation B: Same as Variation A except no "Armour" labels on the doors and no steps on the chassis.
Variation C: Has a DARK YELLOW body with no steps. |
