The Lionel N5C Porthole Type CaboosesThe Lionel Lines N5C Porthole Caboose No. 6427 was first available in 1954 and was produced until 1960. Built on a TUSCAN painted Pennsylvania Railroad N5C Body it has heat-stamped WHITE lettering that shows the number "64273" on the sides. Came with a clear window shell and it was lighted. There are two variations:

Variation A: Bar-end trucks, usually with one magnetic coupler. Note in the picture above that an additional coupler has been added to this caboose. Came in boxes numbered 6427. 1954-1955 production.

Variation B: Bar-end trucks, usually with one tabbed magnetic coupler. Came in boxes numbered 6427-1. 1956-1960 production.
