Produced on a GRAY No. 1877-3 chassis, this car is undecorated and without the truss bars, and it has been found with both AAR, and arch-bar trucks. The AAR trucks on this car usually are found with one operating disc coupler, but those that came with arch-bar trucks have solid non-operating couplers. Lionel created a special box to house this car for separate sale. A very difficult car to find in the original box.
