Lionel Trains RDC Budd UnitsThe Lionel Baltimore & Ohio Budd Unit No. 2559 was available in 1957 and 1958. This passenger car was part of Set No. 2276W issued in 1957 that included the No. 400 power unit and another No. 2559 passenger car. It was also available for separate sale. This Budd Unit is painted SILVER with BLUE heat-stamped lettering and "BUDD / RDC-9" adhesives. There is an ornamental horn that is located at each end, and the trucks have operating magnetic couplers. This Budd unit is lighted by three lamps that showed off the silhouetted window strips and lighted both headlights through a lens at each of the ends. There are no variations.

All of the Lionel Budd units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 Gauge track, but they will run equally well on O Gauge track.
