The 2500 Series Vista-Dome CarsThe Silver Range Vista-Dome Car No. 2532 was produced from 1952 until 1960. There are left and right side people silhouette inserts on the interior of the windows. It came with Type VIII die-cast four-wheel passenger trucks equipped with magnetic couplers. This extruded aluminum vista-dome car has SILVER painted roof dome and vestibule ends. The use of the words "Vista-Dome" to describe this car first appeared on the Middle Classic Box in 1955. Prior to this Lionel called this car "Astra-Dome."

Variation A: Ribbed channeled car with the name plates attached by hex head screws.
