Lionel Trains FA A Unit DieselThe Lionel United States Marine Corps FA A Unit No. 212T is a rare dummy version No. 212 that was issued uncataloged in Set No. X646 in 1958 and 1959. It was painted MEDIUM BLUE with WHITE stripes and heat stamped lettering.

We’ve found this diesel in a corrugated box numbered "212T" and also in a taped rubber stamped "212T" display box. Like its powered unit, No. 212, it was also numbered "212" on the sides, but it has an open pilot with a small step to accommodate the front non-operating coupler. Verification of authenticity is by the fact that the box must be included.

This engine was issued in sets that included O27 Gauge track, but it will run equally well on O Gauge track.
