The Lionel Landscape Set No. 973 was another of those Life-Like assortments that were made for Lionel between 1960 and 1964. The value of this accessory is tied up in the box that is difficult to find due to the fact that it was made out of thin card stock and was four feet long.

Contained in this set was a 4 x 8 foot sheet of grass mat along with three other sheets that were sized 48" by 16" that were to be used for earth, road way, and ballast. There are no variations.
