The Santa Fe Indian Falls Pullman Car No. 2563 was first available in 1959 and continued in production until 1961. There are left and right side people silhouette inserts on the interior of the windows. It came with Type VIII die-cast four-wheel passenger trucks equipped with magnetic couplers. This flat channeled extruded aluminum pullman car has SILVER painted vestibule ends.
This car has RED stripes that have SILVER lettering. Lionel made two different stripes for this car and they are sometimes found mix-matched on individual cars. This accounts for the two variations:
Variation A: The "SANTA FE" lettering is 2-13/16" long on the stripe.
Variation B: The "SANTA FE" lettering is 3-1/8" long on the stripe.
This car was designed to work on the larger radius of O gauge track only. |
