The Lionel Columbia Type 2-4-2-Locomotive No. 251 was uncataloged and available only in 1966. Produced on a BLACK Type IX painted die-cast body with a WHITE rubber-stamped number on the cab. It is powered by a plastic motor and has an added traction tire aid in its tractive effort. It is controlled by a two position directional unit. This locomotive was lighted and has a headlight lens and front marker jewels.
There are two variations:
Variation A: With a No. 1062T slope back tender equipped with AAR trucks and a solid non-operating coupler.
Variation B: With a No. 1130T Southern Pacific streamlined tender equipped with AAR trucks and a solid non-operating coupler.
This locomotive was designed to work on O27 Gauge track and it will also run on O Gauge track.
