Lionel Trains GG-1 ElectricsThe Lionel Pennsylvania GG-1 No. 2360 was initially released with the Congressional Set in 1956 and would be available until 1958. Late this engine was manufactured between 1961 and 1963. This electric engine has lighted marker lights and headlight at both ends that have operating coil couplers. Equipped with Magnetraction, a three position directional unit that controlled twin vertical worm drive motors, and a functional horn. A heat-stamp was used a to apply the GOLD lettering (except for Variation F). There is a small Pennsylvania keystone decal numbered "2360" at each end. The wiring can be changed so that the metal pantographs can actually power this engine.

In 1961 there was a modification to the body casting. All of the ventilators were changed from various heights (See: Variation B below), to being all of the same height (See: Variation E above). There are six variations:

Variation A: TUSCAN body that has five rubber-stamped GOLD stripes and was cataloged as No. 2360. Congressional Passenger Set engine. Produced in 1956.

Variation B: Same as Variation A, except painted DARK GREEN and cataloged as No. 2360-25. Produced in 1956-58.

Variation C: TUSCAN body that has a single large rubber-stamp applied GOLD stripe, graduated height ventilators, and a large RED/WHITE PRR Keystone decal. Produced in 1957-58.

Variation D: Same as Variation C except that the ventilators are all the same height. Produced in 1961.

Variation E: Has a single large painted GOLD stripe, large PRR Keystone decal, and the ventilators are all the same height. Produced in 1961-62.

Variation F: Same as Variation E except this variation uses a decal for the numbers and letters that are on the sides. Produced in 1962-63.
