The Lionel Northern Pacific EMD GP-9 No. 2349 would be produced on a painted BLACK body with painted GOLD and RED striping and GOLD heat-stamped lettering in 1959 and 1960. Behind the cab is a heat-stamped "RADIO EQUIPPED" inscription in RED.
This engine was equipped a horn that was operated by a D Cell battery, a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from underneath the chassis, and a single vertical worm drive motor that powers two axles that utilize magnatraction. The body was lighted and there are headlight and marker lenses at both ends that have operating disc couplers. Reproduction shells have silk-screened lettering.
There are no variations. |
