Lionel Trains FA A Unit DieselThe Lionel Chesapeake & Ohio FA A Unit No. 230 was issued in 1961 on a BLUE body with YELLOW stripe and heat-stamped lettering. It did not have the "C & O" herald on the front as did the No. 225.

This diesel has the front coupler pocket filled in and was mounted on a sheet metal frame that had a solid non-operating rear coupler. There is a two-position directional unit whose lever controls the direction of a Type IID motor. This engine was equipped with two-axle Magnetraction and it did have a light, but did not have a horn. There are no variations.

This engine was issued to run on O27 Gauge track, but it will run equally well on O Gauge track.
