Lionel Trains Canadian National FA A Unit No. 227

Lionel Trains FA A Unit DieselThe Lionel Canadian National FA A Unit No. 227 was issued uncataloged in 1960. A painted GREEN body would have the front coupler pocket filled in and was mounted on a sheet metal frame that had a solid non-operating rear coupler. There is no reverse on this engine and it was not equipped with Magnetraction. Instead, Lionel would put a weight in this diesel to give it some traction. It did have a light and came with a Type IIIA motor. This diesel came with Set No. 1115 and was made for the Canadian market. There are no variations.

This engine was issued to run on O27 track, but it will run equally well on O gauge track.
