Lionel Trains Chesapeake & Ohio FA Diesel A Unit No. 2024

Lionel Trains FA A Unit DieselsThe Lionel Chesapeake & Ohio FA No. 2024 was available only in the last year of post-war production: 1969. Produced on a BLUE body that was painted with a YELLOW stripe at the roof line and lettering, this engine came with a light, but did not have a horn. A two position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body controled the direction of this diesel. A single vertical worm drive Type IVB motor powers two axles that has a traction tire on one side of one axle. The sheet metal chassis has solid non-operating couplers both ends. There are no variations.

All of the Lionel Alco FA units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 Gauge track, but they will run equally well on O Gauge track.
