Because this tank’s base and supports are made out of plastic, the current to operate the spout had to transmitted by metal rods leading from the connecting clips on the bottom of the base to the electrical coil inside the tank. The base was renumbered for this issue to No. 138-4 and "NO. 138 WATER TANK" is inscribed on the top of the base. |

There were two different issues of the instruction sheet No. 138-29. The first was issued in 6-53 and was printed with either DARK BLUE or BLACK ink in WHITE paper. The second was issued in 3-56 and is known to be found only with DARK BLUE ink on WHITE paper. For clarity reasons we’ve shown the front page of this instruction sheet in BLACK and WHITE below. |
